🍷 THE KIDS ARE BACK IN SCHOOL WINE SLUSH MIX 🍹
Because summer isn’t over just because the school bus showed up.

The backpacks are packed.
The lunches are made.
The kids are officially someone else’s problem for several glorious hours. 😂

Now it’s your turn.

Summer is NOT over, and neither is wine slush season! Mix up a frozen cocktail, sit somewhere quiet, and enjoy the beautiful sound of… absolutely nobody asking you for a snack.

HOW MUCH WINE
1 bottle for every 1 bag of wine slush mix

BLENDER FREE INSTRUCTIONS
Use 3 cups of water instead of a blender full of ice if you are using the full package. Combine the water, your favorite wine slush mix, and wine (or hard liquor) in a pitcher, mix well and put in a freezer bag for 8 hours. Sometimes Ziploc bags leak, you might want to put this in a Tupperware to capture any leaks. When ready to drink, take out and thaw until you can knead the bag, then pour into glasses and enjoy. You can also cut the corner of the zip lock for easy pour.

LIQUOR INSTEAD?
1 ½ TO 2 Cups to 1 bag of mix. Vodka, rum, gin, etc. You can add as much as you need, depending on what type of drinker you are and what type of day you had. You can add an additional 1/2 C of hard liquor or soda water if you need more liquid to help blend the ice.

CAN I MAKE SMALLER BATCHES
You can cut the receipt in half, you can make a drink at a time (1-2 tbsp of mix). You can make the mix in a pitcher and freeze in red solo cups for single servings.

WINE RULES
There are a lot of rules to follow—perhaps too many—when it comes to sipping fine wine, cheap wine, really any wine. Swirl your glass to open up the wine's subtle notes. Hold it at the base of the stem so as not to introduce unwanted body heat. Blah blah blah.

FINE WINE/CHEAP WINE
But not all wine is fine, and not all of it is meant to be tasted like the grand crus of Burgundy.

DRY WINE VS SWEET WINE
The word "dry" when it comes to wine can seem a touch confusing at first after all wine is a wet, liquid made of mostly water, so how does the description of "dry" fit in the total wine picture? When someone refers to a dry wine, they are really communicating "not sweet," In the world of wine dry is truly the opposite of sweet. However, sweet is an actual taste that your taste buds can discern, dry is more of a tactile and texture phenomenon that you perceive on the palate.

SWEET VS LESS SWEET
Some is meant to be put into our Slushy mixes and enjoyed all year long. I chose to make my wine slushies with Moscato — which one of my friends fittingly refers to as “Skittles in a Glass” — because slushies are supposed to be sweet, no? Of course, if you’d prefer your slushie to be a bit LESS SWEET, you can substitute Riesling instead of Moscato. But honestly, feel free to use your favorite light and fruity white wine…Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, whatever floats your boat.

HOW LONG DO THESE LAST
They have a 1 year shelf life as they are made to maintain the freshness and flavor within each package.
